ADSIEC SET FOR LG ELECTION AS DISTRIBUTION OF MATERIALS KICKS OFF

The Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has begun distributions of sensitive and non sensitive materials stating their readiness to conduct of Saturday’s local government elections, assuring residents that all necessary arrangements have been concluded to ensure a smooth and credible exercise.
Speaking with journalists in Yola during the distribution of election materials at the commission’s central store, the Commissioner for Logistics and Field Operations, Emmanuel Anuhu Abba, said both sensitive and non-sensitive materials are being dispatched to local government areas across the state.
He pointed that, trucks loaded with election materials have begun leaving for their respective destinations, with about 10 local government areas already taking delivery ahead of the polls.
In thesame vain the commissioner also call on the public to dismiss rumours suggesting that some political parties had been excluded from the election, insisting that all 11 parties cleared by the commission have their names on the ballot paper.He guaranteed that all all registed parties are on the ballot mentioning the SDP, ADC, YPP, AAC, APC, PDP, APP, APM and Labour Party among those participating and urged their supporters to ignore misinformation and come out to vote peacefully.He uses the opportunity to call on all eligible voters across Adamawa State to come out emass to exercise their franchise, Giving a strong backing that that the commission remains committed to conducting a free, fair and transparent local government election in Adamawa State he detailed.
