Governor,Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Asamawa state ,has attributed the achievements recorded by his administration in the last seven years to divine grace, prudent financial management, careful planning, and the resilience of the people of the state.
Fintiri spoke on Friday while commemorating seven years of the “Fresh Air” administration, noting that despite the challenges of governing a large and diverse population, Adamawa had experienced significant growth and development across key sectors.
The governor said the successes achieved since assuming office in 2019 reflected responsible resource management and a shared commitment to development by both government and citizens.
“Notwithstanding the complexity of managing the massive population of the state, it is evident that Adamawa has been hugely prosperous,” Fintiri said.
“I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that has been a co-traveler in this journey over the last seven years. It has not been easy, but to the glory of God, it is evident that there is huge prosperity in Adamawa,” he added.
According to him, financial discipline and strategic planning have remained at the core of his administration’s accomplishments beyond policy direction and political will.
“In all these, the complexity of managing people means there has to be something else driving it. In all situations, we give glory to God. We are grateful that He has given us the opportunity to become a source of joy to the people of Adamawa,” the governor stated.
“Our success is also anchored on financial discipline and careful planning. No one is left behind and nothing is left untouched,” he said.
Fintiri also praised the people of Adamawa for their resilience, patience, and unwavering support, saying their cooperation had contributed immensely to the progress recorded across the state.
“The last seven years have been very eventful and very fruitful. You can see remarkable progress going on across the length and breadth of Adamawa. This would not have been possible without the support and resilience of our people. You stood with us through the challenges, believed in the vision, and partnered with government to deliver results,” he said.
The governor assured residents that his administration would continue to consolidate on its achievements and improve service delivery during the remaining period of his tenure.
“So, for me, the last seven years have been very eventful and very fruitful. We can only do better and render more services to the people in the next one year. Our commitment remains: ‘No one is left behind and nothing is left untouched,’” Fintiri added.
