POLICE COMMAND ANNOUNCES SHOOTING RANGE TRAINING EXERCISE IN ADAMAWA

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced that officers attached to the Special Protection Unit (SPU) will carry out a one-day shooting range exercise at the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) Base along Mubi Road in Girei Local Government Area.
The training is scheduled to take place on Friday, 7th February 2026, and will run from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Residents living near the training area, including those around NAS Radio Station, Sangere FUTY, and Federal Housing Hayin Gada, have been urged to stay clear of the location and not to be alarmed by the sound of gunfire during the exercise.
Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris, thanked the law-abiding citizens of Adamawa State for their continued cooperation and assured the public of the command’s dedication to protecting lives and property.
